Art beyond beauty. Manchester Serenity Art, UK
Serenity is a large mural located right behind the Greater Manchester Police Museum and Archives. SNIK, a local art duo, created this jaw-dropping street art to pay tribute to all women and the fight against injustice and discrimination they face. They painted this street art on Little Lever Street, which is located just a few steps from Stevenson Square, where suffragettes gathered to demand equality over one hundred years ago. The artists were inspired by the selfless actions of the women who have gone before, those who are present, and those yet to come.
