Chalk-full of goodness. Art at your feet
This weekend marks the 27th Pasadena Chalk Festival, an American cultural event of street painting held annually in downtown Pasadena, California. Hundreds of artists spend the weekend using sticks of chalk to create spectacular murals on the pavements of Pasadena to celebrate the unique art form. Many artistic styles are represented at the festival – the largest of its kind in the world – from classical to contemporary. It began as a small event in 1993 but now attracts tens of thousands of visitors. You could say it's the chalk of the town.
