Info. Petit Minou Lighthouse in the bay of Brest, Brittany, France
Today we're looking down on the Petit Minou Lighthouse on the coast of north-west France. The lighthouse stands in front of a fort of the same name, which was built to defend the Goulet de Brest strait. Connected to the mainland by a stone bridge, Petit Minou Lighthouse was added to the fort in 1848 to help ships navigate through a tricky stretch of submerged rocks so they could enter the bay of Brest. The lighthouse, which is 26 metres tall, was automated in 1989.
