Giraffe, South Africa
Have you hugged your giraffe today? If not, World Giraffe Day is certainly a good day to start. Though giraffes are not considered an endangered species, in some of their native habitats across the savannahs and grasslands of Africa, their populations are in decline. Think of today’s observance as a sort of preemptive conservation effort to keep giraffes around for generations to come.
