The famous UNESCO World Heritage Site Achyutaraya Temple in Hampi, Karnataka, is a testament to the Vijayanagara Empire's great workmanship. This majestic temple was built in the 16th century. Its grandeur, spiritual aura, magnificent carvings and sculptures attract tourists from around the world. Once past the gorgeous gates and paths of the temple, large courtyards, intricately carved walls, and towers become the norm. Even though a majority of the temple complex is in ruins, the grandeur and splendour of the structure are still astounding.
