Did you know that the average lifespan of a lavender plant is 12 years? These beautiful plants are resilient and can grow in almost any climate. This misty field of purples and pinks is located in India, which has grown in popularity as a place to grow lavender commercially. Many successful farms exist in states such as Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The demand for lavender products, such as essential oil, dried flowers, and sachets, has steadily increased in recent years, so with its potential to generate income for farmers and promote sustainable agriculture, lavender cultivation has become an attractive option for many in India.
