Info. Fairy Glen, Betws-y-Coed, Wales, United Kingdom
This narrow, mossy valley on the River Colwyn in North Wales is known as the Fairy Glen. It has been admired by artists, poets and writers for centuries. The ancient woodland here is home to a range of trees, plants and wildlife. People who explore this peaceful area will be able to smell wild garlic while listening to a variety of birds singing. It is not far from the beautiful village of Betws-y-Coed, a former artists’ colony which is now a popular place for outdoor activities and the entrance to Snowdonia National Park. There is lots to see in this area, including mountains, castles, forests and waterfalls.
