Amazon River, Brazil
Today we’re at the most important river in the world, the Amazon River. Flowing for almost 7,000 kilometres mostly through the South American countries of Peru and Brazil, the Amazon accounts for 20% of all fresh water that flows into the world’s seas and oceans. In addition to being an important water, food and energy source, the Amazon is the primary mode of transportation and the livelihood of millions of people.
