Hitting paws on spring
Springtime provides plenty of opportunities for us to enjoy beautiful blooms aplenty, but how much do you know about the catspaw we’re spotlighting today? Native to the west of the country, this special species is an absolute stunner thanks to its warm shades of orange, yellow and red.
Also known by its scientific name, Anigozanthos humilis, this is the plant’s perfect time to shine – as it is susceptible to the frost of winter, but able to perfectly handle the heat and humidity of spring and summer. You’ll be able to enjoy plenty of catspaw here at Yilliminning Rock Reserve, but many also visit the area for its stunning vistas of the farmland below. We think both are equally impressive.
