Coast redwoods, California
Today we’re wandering through some of the tallest trees in the world. Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, in northern California, covers 57 square kilometres and is home to huge coast redwood trees (Sequoia sempervirens). This species includes the tallest living trees, which tower above the ground in California and can reach up to 115.5 metres in height. The trees can live longer than 2,000 years and are among the oldest living things on Earth.
