A winter postcard
With more than 8,000 acres of snow-covered slopes and over 200 trails spanning various experience levels, Whistler is undoubtedly a popular destination for skiers and snowboarders alike. Pictured here are the PEAK 2 PEAK gondolas that run between the Whistler Mountain and the Blackcomb Mountain. Upon the completion of its construction, the gondola broke records for being the longest and continuous lift system in the world; covering a 13.5-kilometre loop. Visitors riding this lift can experience 360-degree vistas of sparkling glaciers, mountain peaks and the Whistler Village. During peak season such as weekends and statutory holidays, there can be long lines to get on the gondola and due to COVID-19, capacity may be limited. For now, you can simply enjoy this breathtaking mountain scenery virtually.
