Hanging lamps at the Mori Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo, Japan
You’re looking at ‘Forest of Resonating Lamps’, an art exhibit at the newly opened Mori Building Digital Art Museum in Tokyo’s Odaiba area, a man-made island in Tokyo Bay. This futuristic facility is making headlines this summer for its unique format. The venue features exclusively digital art – some 50 exhibits are displayed throughout the 10,000-square-foot space to create an immersive, borderless experience. More than 500 computers and 470 projectors are used to create an ethereal effect. In the Forest of Resonating Lamps, hundreds of lamps dangle from a ceiling and light up in response to movement in the room.
