A drive down this winter road will take you into Red Rock Canyon National Conservation area in the US state of Nevada, a desert landscape located about 15 miles west of Las Vegas. It can be seen from the Strip, but if Vegas isn’t your scene, take a gamble on this natural area that’s known for its dramatic rock formations, sandstone peaks and maybe even a wild burro (a small donkey) or two.
