Trans-Taiga Road
Among the extremely remote roads of North America lies the Trans-Taiga Road. Located in Northern Quebec, this road stretches 666 kilometres east and is entirely unpaved. With coarse gravel and scattered rocks, it is highly recommended to drive a four-wheel drive here. And that’s not all. Given its isolated location and lack of service stations, you may want to keep four spare tyres along with a survival kit.
So, the question remains, why does this dangerous road even exist? It was built to give access to dams and generating stations for Hydro-Quebec. If you have a desire for adventure and a thrilling road trip, the Trans-Taiga Road is the place to visit. Or you can take the easier option like us and enjoy the scenery from our homepage image today.
