Sea otter pup
Watching cute sea otters frolicking in the water is always a treat. Beyond being adorable, they are top predators in the food chain, performing an 'otterly' vital role in keeping nearshore ecosystems in balance. Without otters, sea urchins will destroy crucial kelp forests, taking away a source of concealment and food for many other aquatic animals. Unfortunately, these vital members of the marine environment are now at risk of extinction. We must do our bit to protect these adorable creatures by not polluting our oceans and waterways.
