Autumn says its farewell. Walking through Lesmurdie Falls
Today, on the last day of autumn, we visit Lesmurdie Falls in Perth’s Lesmurdie Falls National Park – about 20 minutes east of the city centre. The park is renowned for its wealth of walking trails, ranging anywhere from 300 metres to three kilometres. Today’s image is all about the Lesmurdie Falls Walking Trail which, when starting from the top, is a two-kilometre path that sees you travelling to the base of the falls while getting up close and personal with the surrounding vegetation. The good news is that you haven’t even missed the best time to visit! Walking the park’s trail is particularly recommended in winter (as well as spring), largely due to the increase in rains that swells the area’s streams, and tumble over the Darling Range Escarpment. You’ll absolutely, ahem, fall for these views.
