Feldberg Tower

Baden-Württemberg, Germany
The tower of Feldberg, owned by Southwest German Radio until 2001, was used as a broadcasting tower. The greater part of the Feldberg region is a nature reserve because of its sub-alpine vegetation. The Feldberg provides one of the widest panoramic views, especially in winter. The mountain has several managed cabins and hostels. The Black Forest Ham Museum is situated in the Feldberg Tower and is open as of May. Climb the tower of Feldberg, and you can let your eyes wander further into the countryside. However, you have a beautiful, unbroken view even without going up the tower because there are no trees on the top area.
