Visitors don’t need to look skyward to admire the old-growth rainforest of Dorrigo National Park—an aerial walkway offers elevated views across miles and miles of verdant canopy. Located inland of Coffs Harbour on the mid-north coast of New South Wales, Dorrigo’s foliage belongs to Gondwana Rainforests: a network of similar temperate rainforest ecosystems spanning NSW and Queensland. They’re collectively named after the ancient supercontinent Gondwana because it’s said that this supercontinent—to which Australia once belonged—shared similar types of plant life.
