Known for its pleasant beaches and turquoise waters, the isle of Martinique, part of the Lesser Antilles in the Caribbean Sea, is one of many overseas territories of France. That means not only do locals enjoy the same French citizenship as anyone in European France, but French people from the mainland side can visit these warm blue shores all year without setting foot on foreign land.
