Info. Nohsngithiang Falls
We're looking down one of the tallest waterfalls in India. The water here at Nohsngithiang Falls flows down from a height of 315 metres and has an average width of 70 metres. Just a few kilometres from Cherrapunji, one of the wettest places on Earth, this seasonal waterfall plunges over the top of limestone cliffs during the monsoon season. The waterfall is a spectacular sight during sunrise and sunset, when the streams are illuminated by vibrant colours. It is also known as the 'Seven Sisters Waterfalls', as it is made of seven segments that symbolise the Seven Sister States in north-east India.
