Info. Adler Planetarium, Chicago, Illinois, USA
Located on the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois, we're looking down on the Adler Planetarium, a museum dedicated to the study of astronomy and astrophysics. First opened in 1930, it was the first planetarium in the United States. Today it boasts three theatres, a collection of historic scientific instruments, the Gemini 12 space capsule and the Doane Observatory, a giant telescope that's open to the public and can spot objects trillions of miles away. The Adler's mission is to connect people to the universe and each other.
