Ferris wheel in the Tuileries Garden in Paris, France
In the heart of Paris is the Louvre, and right next door is Tuileries Garden. Established in the 16th century by Queen Catherine de’ Medici as a royal garden, it became a public park after the French Revolution. Today Tuileries Garden will be full of people celebrating Bastille Day, a commemoration of the storming of the Bastille in 1789. Some Bastille Day traditions might sound familiar - parades, music and fireworks figure into the revels.
