It's a popular spot thanks to its big waves, warm water and beautiful views. With its 13,000 islands and all-year-round warm water, Indonesia is a prime surfing destination. Wave chasers started arriving in Bali from around the world in the 1960s and '70s and these days, major surfing brands operate their Southeast Asia headquarters from the island.
