Woolly warmth. A flock of sheep face the cold
Much like all of us, the flock of sheep you see today are gradually battling through the sniffly season - trying to brave the cold as best they can. Luckily their warm thick coats help keep them relatively toasty throughout this period, right up until the spring when the shearing season kicks off – in turn leading to a variety of woolly products to help keep us warm as well! The heavy, year-old coat is removed at this time not only to relieve the animal of the extra weight, but keep them cool for the incoming summer, while allowing plenty of time to begin growing a fresh coat for the next year’s winter.
