Howzat?!. We don't like cricket... we love it!
Howzat?! This cricket sculpture depicts the moment a flat-footed Australian batsman is deceived by the bowler as England win the Cricket World Cup. The installation, which also features metal fielders and even an umpire, is called 'The Spirit of Yorkshire' and can be found at Yorkshire Lavender, a 60-acre hillside farm just outside the village of Terrington in England. As the most successful county in English cricket history, Yorkshire is a fitting venue for the match.Today marks the start of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, the 12th edition of the 50-over tournament which takes place every four years. Our Aussie team are the current holders and most successful side having won the competition five times since its inception in 1975. England have never lifted the trophy, but currently top the rankings and are considered favourites to win the World Cup on home soil. Can they handle the pressure?
