Shenandoah gets a little more colourful. A view worth waiting for
Head to the south-eastern U.S state of Virginia and you should be able to locate Shenandoah National Park. With over 80,000 hectares of protected land, the park includes the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Shenandoah Valley. During Autumn, the forests of Shenandoah offer a kaleidoscope of red, gold, orange, and brown as the leaves turn and begin to drop. Skyline Drive, a popular highway winding across the mountains, is typically quite crowded during this time, as visitors make the trek to try and soak in the view as the seasons change.
