Party like it’s 5779
Jewish people around the world are celebrating Rosh Hashanah today, which literally translates as 'head of the year.' It may be Sept 10, but it's also the first day of Tishri on the Jewish calendar, which is based on the lunar month as opposed to the solar month. So, why are we looking at honeycombs--real ones, not the cereal? To note the custom of eating apples dipped in honey for a sweet new year. Happy 5779!
