Mural painting ‘Fresque des Québécois
La Fresque des Quebecois is an iconic mural highlighting Quebec’s culture and history. Tourists and locals can catch a glimpse of historical figures such as Samuel de Champlain, who mapped parts of North America; Louis Jolliet, who mapped the Mississippi River and Alphonse Desjardins, founder of the Desjardins Group. This mural is located in Old Quebec in Place-Royale and was unveiled in 1999. The city’s coat of arms and various cultural communities are also depicted in here.
