The United Nations aims to call attention to water challenges with World Water Day, observed on March 22. This year’s theme focuses on nature-based solutions for managing water resources. Organisers say that strategies like reconnecting rivers to floodplains and restoring wetlands have the potential to rebalance the water cycle and improve human health and livelihoods.
