FDNY Memorial Wall for the New York City firefighters who died on 9/11
At 124 Liberty Street in Manhattan, across from the 9/11 Memorial and World Trade Center site, you’ll find a building known simply as Ten House. This is the home of the New York Fire Department’s Engine Company 10 and Ladder Company 10. Though nearly destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the firehouse was rebuilt. Today it is home to the FDNY Memorial Wall, a 56-foot brass sculpture that honors the 343 New York firefighters who died in the attacks. An inscription reads: ‘Dedicated to those who fell and those who carry on. May we never forget.’
