Jackson Square in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA
This year marks the city of New Orleans' 300th birthday. Sometime in the spring of 1718, ‘La Nouvelle-Orléans’ was founded by French investors. Since then, May 7 has become the traditional date to celebrate the ‘birth’ of New Orleans, although the actual day is unknown. Really, this city in the US state of Louisiana doesn’t need an excuse to throw a party, but this one’s going to be extra special.
