White Rim Road seen from Island in the Sky in Canyonlands National Park, Utah
When you’re atop the Island in the Sky, every view is a good view. Bending around the valley and hills below this tableland at the northern portion of Canyonlands National Park, Utah, is the White Rim Road. The unpaved road cuts a winding horseshoe path full of switchbacks and steep inclines. Most of the 72-mile road is open to four-wheel drive vehicles, motorbikes and bicycles, but permits are required.
