Flame Towers and skyline of Baku, Azerbaijan
The three skyscrapers known collectively as the Flame Towers dominate the skyline of Baku, Azerbaijan. This city on the Caspian Sea coast embraces the towers’ ultra-modern presence in the city’s evolving landscape. The tallest of the three towers is about 190 metres, making it easy to see the night-time light show of the Flame Towers from the outer reaches of the city. After sunset, roughly 10,000 LED lights spark up, often displaying shimmering waves of gold and red, to drive home the name of the towers.
