Penguins in Falkland Islands
The Falkland Islands are home to the charming Southern Rockhopper Penguins. These small penguins are known for their distinctive yellow eyebrows, spiky yellow crests and red eyes. They have a unique hopping behaviour, navigating the rocky cliffs and jumping from one ledge to another. Southern Rockhoppers form large colonies during the breeding season, with thousands of pairs gathering in one place. They feed on krill and small fish, and their playful antics and vibrant appearance make them a popular attraction for wildlife enthusiasts visiting the Falkland Islands.
