Beautiful falling waters. Waterfall in Meghalaya, India
Meghalaya, meaning 'abode of clouds' in Sanskrit, is a state in northeastern India. Also known as 'the Scotland of the East,' the state is known as one of the richest botanical habitats in Asia. Due to its heavy rainfall, Meghalaya also features some of the most breathtaking waterfalls on earth, including the one you see in today's photo. Some of its most well-known waterfalls are Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sisters Falls and Dainthlen Falls, but there are sixteen main waterfalls that are all worth seeing for yourself. For nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers visiting Meghalaya, experiencing these waterfalls is a must.
