Stretching between Tower Hamlets and Southwark, the London Tower Bridge is a distinctive landmark, boasting multiple romantic sights (and sites from which to view it). With the city's twinkling lights across the bank and Tower Bridge as a backdrop, this is one of London's prettiest stretches of the Thames River, offering snapshot-worthy riverside strolls. The bridge itself supports vehicles and pedestrian traffic. The upper pedestrian route, also known as the sky bridge and The Tower Bridge Experience, was closed in 1910 due to crime but reopened with a glass floor in 1982. While the main bridge is free to cross, the upper bridge requires a paid ticket.
