Icelandic regulations also prohibit importing horses into the country and once exported, they cannot come back. This is done mainly to prevent disease-spreading amongst the horses. Icelandic horses come in a stunning variety of colors like gray, black, chestnut, roan, and more. These horses are usually only ridden after they turn four and mainly used for showing, racing, and leisure activities.
