Ranwu Lake near Rawu, Tibet Autonomous Region, China
Thought to be the largest lake in eastern Tibet, Ranwu Lake is one of the major tourist draws to this otherwise isolated region. The town of Rawu is nearby, but you’re facing more than five hours of driving if you want to go to Chamdo (aka Qamdo) - the closest big city. Ranwu Lake is really three narrow alpine lakes divided into sections that are connected by small streams.
