Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival
We know spring is in the air when the pleasing pink cherry blossoms take over the streets of Vancouver. Running from April 1 until April 23, the Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is officially underway. Locals and tourists can take in the trees in their full bloom in a variety of ways. The festival offers initiatives such as Bike the Blossoms, which enables people of all ages to cycle along a carefully planned route to view the cherry blossoms. The Tree Talks and Walks is a guided walking tour and The Big Picnic, held today, is a gathering celebrating friendship under the cherry tree. The event will feature a Haiku installation with Vancouver’s three Host Nations of Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, and Squamish.
