Thundering through the forest
Pouring out of the forest and plummeting over the cliff edge in the Konkan region of Western India is this striking waterfall, part of the Thoseghar Waterfalls. Here in the state of Maharashtra, the roar of these crystal clear waters contrasts with the tranquility of the dark wooded landscape, which is rich in flora and fauna and packed with exotic birds. These waterfalls are especially impressive during the monsoon season, from July to November, as water swishes over rocks and thunders down into a pool like a gigantic waterspout.
