Myakka River State Park, Florida
Floodwaters have transformed this stretch of Florida’s Myakka River State Park into a water world. Myakka is one of Florida’s oldest and largest parks, stretching for 37,000 acres near Sarasota. It’s home to a variety of natural features, including the hydric hammock, a type of forested wetland that’s pictured here.
