Warm Christmas wishes

For Christmas Day we’re headed to one of the most iconic locations in the country, the beautiful Bondi Beach. It’s not quite the winter wonderland Santa and his elves might be used to, so we sure hope they’ve packed some swimmers! Instead, get-togethers around these shores are the perfect spot for a Christmas picnic, as many feast on Aussie staples like cold turkey, prawn cocktails, and everybody’s favourite, the trusty pavlova. Likewise, children trade sandcastles for sandmen – our alternative to the northern hemisphere’s frosty friends.

In previous years, many beachgoers have dressed up for the big day, from elaborate outfits to some thongs and a Santa hat. 2020 might be a little different, and more socially distanced, but if you're celebrating Christmas today, we hope you have a merry one all the same.
