Time for a winter walk?

We’re guessing it’d be mighty cold at the top of Cradle Mountain right about now, as winter takes hold of our shores. But as, you might have guessed from today’s image, despite Tasmania’s southern location, the state still does cop a bit of snow. The more mountainous areas see most of the fall, along with the central highlands, but the snow rarely ever settles at see level. But don’t let any of that dissuade you! Winter days here in Tassie are generally known to be bright and crisp, meaning you can still enjoy plenty of the region’s stunning hikes, catch glimpses of snow-capped mountains glistening in the sunlight, or even visit the remains of an ancient volcanic plug. Maybe just pack a warm jacket…
