Happy Canada Day!
It’s Canada Day! Pictured here is the Parliament Hill, home to the federal government. Pointed archways, tall windows, spires and stonework are some of the Gothic elements incorporated on the parliament buildings. The complex consists of three blocks. The Centre Block is home to the iconic 98-metre-tall Peace Tower. The West Block and the East Block consist the House of Commons and offices of the senators and the members of Parliament.
Given the health and safety guidelines in light of Covid-19, this year, Canada Day is being celebrated virtually with various events scheduled throughout the day. You can start with testing your knowledge on some of Canada’s most popular places by taking the quiz below.
