The long and wiggly path
Welcome to one of the most difficult, and dangerous, trails in Zion National Park, in the US state of Utah. Walter’s Wiggles, named after the park superintendent who oversaw its construction in 1926, is part of the hair-raising path to the top of the 1,488ft rock formation Angels Landing. It took 258 helicopter flights to haul in the concrete needed to construct this steep 21-switchback trail out of Refrigerator Canyon but the view from the top, for those who brave the narrow ridge and sheer drops, makes it all worthwhile.
