Workers restoring the rotunda of the US Capitol in Washington, DC
For Labor Day, we share this photo of crew members working in the rotunda of the US Capitol during a massive project that included restoration of the Capitol dome. The project lasted from 2014 to 2016, with locals likely getting used to seeing the dome’s exterior covered with scaffolding to allow the workers access to make needed repairs.
