Hedwig is probably one of the most famous owls in contemporary film history. As a loyal companion of Harry Potter, she has not only found a place in the hearts of many children, but has also delighted many adults. Our main actor on today's homepage is the Eurasian Eagle-Owl, scientifically known as Bubo bubo. Weighing more than nine pounds and boasting a wingspan of up to 170 centimetres, the Euroasian is easily the largest of all owls.
