Nestled in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Magdalen Islands or Îles de la Madeleine, offer colourful houses, sandy isthmuses, fishing ports and picturesque red cliffs. Between the islands' 350 kilometres of beach are iron-rich red cliffs, molded by the sea and wind. Visitors come here to not only take in the ethereal scenery but also to partake in various activities such as cycling, kitesurfing and kayaking.
