Martyr of martyrs, Gandhi. Painting of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Smriti, Delhi
Today is the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He is known as the ‘Father of the Nation’, primarily because he nurtured India’s freedom struggle with his his unique form of nonviolent civil disobedience and ‘Satyagraha’ (force of truth) forms of dignified protests. This finally led to the ‘British Quit India’ movement. The rest as they say is history.
