Rugby line-out sculpture outside Twickenham Stadium, London, England
Created by pop artist and sculptor Gerald Laing, this 27-foot bronze sculpture of a rugby union line-out stands outside Twickenham Stadium - the home of English rugby. For those of you who don't know your flankers from your hookers, a line-out is a way of restarting play after the ball has gone into touch (off the field of play at the side). Engraved in the base of this statue are the five core values of the sport – teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline and sportsmanship. Those values will be on show over the next six weeks in the Six Nations as England defend their championship against France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales.
